I have been pulling a series of cards each night, simply asking for advice for the remainder of my day and each evening I write about what I think my intuition is trying to relay. Last night I tried a new tactic. The moon was new; it was a supermoon, when the moon is closest to earth, and I found a tarot spread for the new moon by Joy Vernon.
The spread is as follows: My goal; my obstacle; the tactic; and my expectation. I drew, consequently: 2 of Swords, 3 of Cups, the Hermit (my life path card) and the King of Pentacles.
This visual puzzle of the interpretation of interacting symbology and iconography, is synthesized into an interpretational narrative.
In order, the individual cards tell me to get through a stalemate and make a decision. My obstacle: balancing commitments within my friend and family circles. The tactic would be to revert to my natural introverted self, to take time and be alone in reflection. To support myself, I need to be firm and authoritative.
The interpretational narrative: So many daily chores, how do I spend my time? My goal is to make a solid decision, and come into balance. When I ponder all I want and need to do, my available time dwindles; husband, family, friends, writing, reading, working, exercising, sleeping. My obstacle is the inability to balance my life. It is in quiet contemplation, in meditation and time writing, that I will finally be able to stand in my power, to know that I can do life.
This new moon symbolizes new cycles of growth, beginnings, a time to reset, and the new moon in Taurus specifically (like my King of Pentacles) represents “grounding, self worth, and long term abundance.” As I broaden a practice of gratitude and self-reflection, I allow for myself to engage in the process of opening up to abundance and joy. With the gorgeous images below, I can tap into advice for the next few weeks, finding comfort within myself and my intuition.
